I have two Outlook profiles for the same email account. One has forty PST files associated with it. My intent is to never use that profile, but have it indexed. As far as I have been able to determine, everybody says that Search should now index any profile in Outlook. That has not been my experience. As far as I can tell, the only profile that is indexed is the one you are using at any given time. If I start Outlook using the profile with all the PSTs, they are indexed. If I restart Outlook using the profile without the PSTs, they are not indexed and all of the content that was indexed is removed from the index. This doesn't sound right to me. Anyone have a clue what is going on? I have tried rebuilding. I have tried troubleshooting the indexing process. Neither helped.
