The Windows 7 Beta was removed from the Microsoft website because Microsoft currently have enough people testing it. That is the only reason.The 'official' Windows 7 beta version is 7000, all the other versions you see available are 'leaked' versions that may not be particularly stable. These builds are not supported on this newsgroup and we strongly recommend that you do not download them. Another public beta should be available towards the end of May so keep your eyes on this newsgroup to see when you can download the next available build.John Barnett MVP: Windows XP Associate Expert: Windows Desktop Experience: Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk; Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org; Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org;

The release candidate will be along soon - if Microsoft follows precedent, the Release Candidate will be available for download by the general public for testing. If you're paying attention to what's going on, you should be eligible to download the RC. The RC will only be available for a limited time (as wsa the Beta).

No, you didn't miss anything official. The latest rumors (and, please keep in mind that these are rumors and innuendo, nothing official) are that the public RC will be released in late May. Again, nothing official, and this date may change. 10 grains of salt, that should be taken with. ;)<Was there other "RC" Windows i didnt notice?>Technically, builds after 7000 (the public beta) are Release Candidates. However, none is the RC. There is a difference.Since you're checking the Win7 site, you'll know when we do when that's released.[If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. No... There hasn't been a Release Candidate as yet. But given Darien Hawk's post, and the post on Engineering Windows blog, it sounds like it will be coming VERY soon.
