The security update KB2564958 will not install. I have Windows 7 64bit Ultimate with SP1 installed. Everyday I am offered the update, but, every time it fails, I have used fix it, but, it has not made a difference - this is quite annoying especially as it is an important security update. The error code I receive is: 80073712 any help with this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi there, I have tried your suggestions but the first suggestion (Scan your Computer , when you finished take Firewall Off , and try again.) did not work. Your second suggestion I receive an error stating 'The update is not applicable to your computer'

I have been having the exact same issues ast LianneB1. I tried the manual installation - -did not succesfully install. Tried turning off firewall and re-downloading and install manually -- again it failed. not sure what to do next? Thank you -
