Security settings accidentally set so can not access files or folders.
Somehow, when trying to set the drive security settings so others couldn't change settings, I set it so I can't get access to files or folders, or anything. Everything tells me access is controlled, and see Administrator, but I am the administratior, and I don't know where I went to set those settings, except the proctection encryption area, and I can't find where in that area, or what it is I need to change.1 person needs an answerI do too

right click on the file or folder in question, select the security tab, do you see your user id? if so click it and then look at the permissions for allow and deny. Deny will override everything. You may need to go into advanced and take ownership of the item if permission are really screwed up, use caution here! Also check to see that you actually an administrator on the machine, right click my computer, select manage, select groups, select administrators and make sure you are in this list.
