Seeing what activities have been OK'd in IE8?
I just signed up for the free e-mail certificate at Comodo, but while I was trying to add the ActiveX add-on IE8 kept popping up and asking me if something was OK--I thinkit was requesting to let me, let it, request a certificate on my behalf. Seeing dialogs like this in IE is common, and what I wanted to know is..Does IE keep a log of everything I've OK'd it do without user interaction? Can I sort it by date? All I've figured out how to do is see what add-ons have been installed. Thanks!

Cool, but not exactly what I was looking for. I'll try to explain a little bit better:Besides asking to add certificates, or to install add-ons, IE often asks security questions like "Always do so-and-so for this filetype" or "Never ask me again" when referencing insecure sites or file operations. Without specifically looking through my file associations in Computer or every tab in Internet Options, is there a way to see all the things I've said "yes" to?

There is not one registry location for those. The settings are spread around. Yoiu might use the Reset button, at IE, Tools menu, Options, Advanced tab, to cancel them all, then keep a record of them.Rating posts helps other users Mark L. Ferguson MS-MVP
