Send To Folder Permissions
Hi All,Right-Click on Desktop, click New and New Briefcase. Righ-click on New Briefcase and create Shortcut.Right-click on Start and Open Windows Explorer. Locate Users. Locate your User ID. Locate Send To in your User ID. Click on Send To to expand it in the right window and you get Access Denied. Send To is not accessible.Purpose to add Shortcut of New Briefcase to Send To.Sometimes you want to specifically add a Specific Folder to Send To.How does one get access to Send To? When I right-click on Properties for Send To, I have Permission, but it is not allowing me to Open Send To.When I access Send To by clicking on Start and clicking my User ID, I see all my Folders. I see Send To and when I click on Send To, I get "Access is denied."Has this Bug been reported?thecreator

Hi thecreator,The SendTo folder is now located at %userprofile%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo.This is very different from what it used to be in XP.The AppData folder in your profile is a hidden folder, so you will not see it with the default settings for Windows Explorer. To be honest I can't find the Send To folder you are getting the "Access Denied" message for.Ray
