Services disable and my toolbar settings are gone!
when my pc reboots about 80% of my services disable, msconfig says im in selective or diagnostic start-up, even though I'd set it to normal. I enable most of them, and try to start them, about 35% of them will start. My Os is xp sp2. Thanks in advance, Teresa5121 person needs an answerI do too

Hi teresa512, Method 1This may be happen if the computer is infected by any virus or malware infections.I would suggest that you scan and remove all the infections from the computer and check if it works. The below scan only works on 32 bit version of Windowshttp://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm You may use Microsoft security essentials to scan your computerhttp://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ Method 2If the above step fails then I would suggest that you run SFC scan on the computer which would scan for corrupt system files on the computer and replace them.a) Click Start, click Run, type cmd in the Open box, and then click OK. b) At the command prompt, type sfc /scannow, and then press ENTER.Note: You may be prompt to insert the Windows XP CD. Hope this helps!Halima S - Microsoft Support.Visit our Microsoft Answers Feedback Forum and let us know what you think.
