Set up an Administrator log in
I have Windows professional Upgrade Installation disk. A few months ago I had a new computer built and the person who set it up did not set up an Administrator log in as I had before. I now need one to install a program that requires me to be the Administrator. Should I just re-install my Windows XP disk even though my version is a little older than the one on the computer?1 person needs an answerI do too

There is always a built-in Administrator account. Log into it and make whatever changes you need. Do Ctrl-Alt-Del at the Welcome Screen to get the classic logon box. Enter "Administrator" for the username (without the quotes) and whatever password was assigned. If no password was assigned, leave that field blank.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
