Sharing O2 dial-up connection fails
Hello,
I am trying to share O2 huawei dial-up connection between two computers (machine1 - source, machine2 - dest.) with Windows 7 Home Premium using D-link DI524 router. What I did:
Connected to the O2 internet on machine1Opened O2 internet properties. Clicked on sharing tab. Enabled Internet sharing.Connected to my router via cable. Configured 192.168.0.100 as my (machine1) static address.Connected machine 2 to D-Link via Wi-Fi. Configured machine 2 as folowing: IP=192.168.0.111, SubM as normal, Gate: 192.168.0.100
What happened:
Nothing.
When I run network diagnostic on machine 2 I get adviced to restart my modem. There is no modem, but I tryed to restart all connections and reconnected dial-up.
There is no problem with file sharing and Home Group within the computers. I can transfer files as normal. I can ping machine1 from machine2 but not vice-versa.
Thank you for any sugestions. I have no more ideas what to do...Jakub
PS.: When I was typing in enumerated list cursive was turning on on newlines. As it does not do it now, I am not sure what debug info can I provide.

Hi ,
To use ICS, make sure the local area network (LAN) connection on each network computer is configured to get an IP address automatically.
Configure
the connection to obtain an IP address automatically
=======================================
a.
Click "Start", input "NCPA.CPL" (without quotation marks) to Start Search bar and press "Enter".
b.
Right-click the network connection and click "Properties".
If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
c. Click to highlight "Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)" and click "Properties".
d.
Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".
e.
Click "OK".
f.
Click to highlight "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties".
g.
Check "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically".
h.
Click "OK".
i.
Reboot the computer.
Also,
you need to make the following changes on machine 2. Don't make these changes until you've set up ICS on the host computer.
1.Open
Internet Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Network and Internet, and then clicking Internet Options.
2.Click
the Connections tab, and then click Never dial a connection.
3.Click LAN
Settings.
4.In
the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog box, under Automatic configuration, clear the Automatically detect settings and Use automatic configuration script check boxes.
5.Under Proxy
server, clear the Use a proxy server for your LAN check box, and then click OK.
