okay now plz guys reply to this in the most lucid language cuz i aint no computer geek and cant get your hi-fi language you all use So i have two comps Vista and XP . I have allowed sharing in both comps and done those settings. The result being that my vista comp can access the xp but not vice-versa . I have even made both comps join the same workgroups . So what should i do know ? Cuz i want my xp comp to be able to access the vista comp . And also how wud i print from from my printer , connected to the vista comp , from the XP one ? izzit anything related to printer sharing ?

Hi, it might be the Windows firewall blocking the connection. Try turning it off as a test from the control panel.
