Well i recently setup my network and upgraded all comps to vista after i remodeled my house. I made one of my computers a media server/basic server and want to let the other computers access the drives (not folders but the entire drive..C,D,E and F) but vista is not letting me do so, even when i share and give allow all access to the drives under sharing and properties.... it used work fine on xp. any help or a point to a good setup page would be much appreciated :) Thank you

To give you unrestricted access across the network, make Everyone appear in the Security Tab, simply click the Windows Orb (Start), type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter, then right-click the drive graphic > Properties > Sharing Tab > Advanced Sharing > tick Share this folder and type in a Share Name > Apply > OK. Now go to the Security Tab > Edit > Add then type Everyone (not the quotes) > Check Names > OK and below it select your preferences, e.g. Full Control, etc. > Apply > Reply Yes to any security message > Keep pressing OK to any deny messages > OK, etc. to finish.
