Sharp Printer & Windows 7
I just purchased Windows 7 and have a Sharm AR-M277 printer/copier. Has anyone been able to get this printer to work with Windows 7?

Go here for Vista drivers http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx Like Bubbapcguy said, have you tried installing the printer and let Windows 7 pick a driver for it? Is this a 32bit or 64bit Windows 7? If windows 7 wasn't successful or it doesn't print correctly, then go to the link I provided and input the information but where it says Product Model, choose Model Not Listed, you'll then be able to type on the next line AR-M277, then select Vista operating system (as there are no windows 7 drivers available). Install whatever print driver you choose in Vista compatibility mode http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itprohardware/thread/80cae5ee-dc98-4a2f-8284-a1ab826059b7MCSE, MCSA, MCDST [If this post helps to resolve your issue, please click the "Mark as Answer" or "Helpful" button at the top of this message. Please follow the steps below to install the printer. 1. Click Start, click Control Panel and double click Devices and Printers.2. Click Add a Printer. 3. Select "Add a local printer". 4. Choose an existed LPT port. Then click Next.5. Choose the correct driver in the driver list. If no available driver, click the button Windows Update, wait for the process finishes and then look for the driver again.7. Finish the installation.Arthur Xie - MSFT

Download drivers from here - http://www.sharpusa.com/CustomerSupport/ProductDownloads.aspx . You will have to select the follwing: Select a Product Category - MFPs & Printers Enter Product model - Model not listed Enter Product Model - AR-M277 Select Download Type - Driver Driver Platform - Microsoft Operating System - Windows 7 One thing to note that the PS driver will not work if you do not have the Post Script Expansion Kit and you will get an error - postscript printing not licensed for this printer so the work around is to use the PCL6 driver.
