Should I remove UStorsrv.exe from Windows XP machine?
Original Title:OK Now. Do I remove Windows/system32/UStorsrv.exe I asked how to find it, and great replies and viewpoint. What happend is one day on my Gateway Brand Computer using XP Home 32.bit I tried the coupons site for store coupons, and found a UStorserv.exe trying to connect to the Internet from my computer, and I went looking for it when I found it, this UServerv.exe had a telephone icon. I had found it here on my Gateway computer and somehow mangaed to remove it and never see it again. But below in my first inquiry, the replies seem to say this is not a malware program. Was the UStorserv.exe that appeared with the telephone icon when I went to use the coupons ,com, after visiting the Safeway Food Store web site the same as described below. My original question:I use the McAfee premium anti/virus computer protection. Recently I did a full computer scan and picked the custom level to make sure I hit the specific files, or no file left behind. When I went to view the report It read that the C:\Windows\system32\UStorsrv.exe was blocked from conecting to the Internet as " Oti Content Service. I remember removing the UStorSrv.exe once before from another computer, but can't seem to find it on the Dell desktop using Windows XP. Do you think that this is a phantom readout of the McAfee, or this UStorSrv.exe really exisits? I want to find it, and a search, throughout the files did not produce a result, though hidden files were not scanned in the searchI use the McAfee premium, anti/virus computer protection.
