Skips the Welcome Screen and goes right into an account.
My computer, running Windows XP Home Edition, recently crashed, and I had a virus removed and got it back, completely wiped. I configured all the settings so that when the computer turns on, it SHOULD bring up the Welcome screen. However, the computer always logs on to one of the accounts immediately. I can switch users to get the Welcome screen, but it will not start there.Under Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts > The way users log in, "Use the Welcome Screen" in checked.I am clueless. Please help me1 person got this answerI do too

This should do it:Press WindowsKey+R . Type control userpasswords2 in the Open: box and press Enter.Put a check mark in the Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer box.Click OK . Boulder Computer Maven Microsoft Most Valuable Professional
