Hi
We have found a potentially damaging (to a firms reputation) bug with the Skype for Business UI when it comes to transferring calls to another person. It could lead to a user inadvertently transferring a caller to the wrong person, potentially somebody outside the firm. The steps to recreate this bug are as follows:
1) Answer a call.
2) Click Call Controls.
3) Click Transfer.
4) Search for a person (ensure that the search returns a number of results and the person you are transferring to isn't the first result in the list)
5) Without clicking on a contact, hover over the person and click the call button (without using the drop down) See Below:
6) The call is not transferred to the person you hovered over but is instead transferred to the first person in the search results list.
This does not occur if you highlight the person and click transfer, double click on them or use the drop down on the hover to select a phone number. However given that the hover and click to call is the suggested behaviour in the main Skype for Business contact screen, it is not unreasonable for the user to use this method in a transfer.
We feel this is significant as a user could be speaking to a client and inadvertently transfer them to any other contact (internal or external) they have in their outlook.
Any thoughts on this appreciated.
