Skype for Business completely ignores the startup options on my Win 8.1 machine. Is there a way to get this application to respect Windows

Hi Gary Chefetz,

Please check the following settings.

1. You can configure Lync to automatically start each time a user logs on to Windows by checking the aptly-named Automatically start Lync when I log on to Windows check box:

 

2. Configure Lync to automatically start by creating the registry key.

 

3. Open Task Manager, navigate to Startup page, ensure Lync is enabled.

One does have to wonder why this is automatically added to the startup group if the application ignores the setting anyway!
