I have a Dell laptop with Windows XP SP3. It always started up quickly and rarely gave me trouble. Starting about a week ago, I started getting BSODs while trying to download Team Fortress 2 on Steam. At first I thought it was Steam that was causing the problem, since it still ran fine otherwise. But since yesterday, it takes about 10 minutes for the computer to fully start up, from when I turn it on, to when all the icons are loaded in the system tray next to the clock. The CPU runs at about 50% during start-up, even though the task manager indicates otherwise. Eventually, the system now BSODs after about 15 minutes. I notice that during the slow start-up, or just before it hangs, the light indicating hard disk activity is lit. Im getting the stop error too.. whenever i start steam... im still thinking it might be the problem.. since everything else works fine.. the error is getting frustrating
