Hello,

We have the X-Lite phone software and Windows doesn't appear to be recognizing it as a communication when on a call because it doesn't reduce the volume by 80% or any other setting for that matter when call is placed or received.  Is there a way to force Windows into to know this?

there is a tools to test the sound from this software, you tried this method before?

did you contact software manufactured before? ask compatibility and version that you should use in order to run better with Windows 8.1

I also suggest you try to test audio setting without this software

regarding windows, try to download latest chipset update, you can find it at your PC manufactured site
