Solution: Opening Web Folders Problem on Vista
Hi, I've readed some many problems with webfolders on Windows Vista and Internet Explorer 7. The most common one is when you map a network drive, Vista doesn't prompt for your user credentials and it ends showing us an empty folder. In Windows XP the only thing we had to to is enter the Webfolder URL like this: http://www.microsoft.com But in order this to work on Vista you always must type: http://username@www.microsoft.com And now Vista is going to ask for your credentials and you will ge to see your WebFolder. Note: this only works when you use the option "map a network drive"->Connect to a Web site that you can use to store your documents and pictures. It does not work from IE7->File->Open->Open as webfolder This works on Vista SP1. If you haven't appy this SP, you may run into a more problems. Hope this helps Cheers
