Hello everyone

I just set up Speech Recognition on Windows 8 and I went on NotePad to dictate a couple of words, but it doesn't write it down. I can open files and go online and everything but I cant dictate whatsoever. The only way I can get words to appear are if I use the "Press *letter/number*" command and spell out the word, but I cant say the word.

Help?
