Stop security update alert net framework version 2
I had to install net framework in order to use the Windows 7 compatibility tool for two computers. After obtaining the reports, I removed the net framework program from my computers. The one computer is fine. The other has a security update alert displayed for .NET framework version 2 (KB928365). NET Framework does not appear in programs. How do I stop this update alert from appearing?1 person needs an answerI do too

Click on the Yellow Shield (Windows Updates) that's in your Notification Area or open IE and go to Windows Updates. In either case do a Custom install instead of Express. You will see the update you don't want; uncheck the box next to it. If you are doing this from the Notification Area when you click next you'll get a dialog box that will allow you to check "don't show me this again". If you're doing this from IE, click on the "cross" next to the update and put a check in the box that says to hide that update. And you won't be bothered with it again.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!

Thanks. Just discovered that second dialog box myself, and the problem is solved.
