I tried downloading it but what happen is all I got was an error... now when I try to download it again I am told there is a link on my desktop but I dont have it. Help?

Nope same thing... "A Download was halted before completion a resumption file was created on your desktop for your bla bla bla". Would it mater if the file was not saved on my desktop but on another HDD?

your supoosed to have a icon with 3 arrow on your desktop to resume it ... if you don't have it ... go there C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Filesyou will have a program call "Manager.exe"

I do have something called start download manager... but when I click on it, it goes to the one from the previous post. I also do not have manager.exe

Thanks, also if anybody else has this problem i just found out you can download Manager.exe from http://dlm.tools.akamai.com/dlmanager/versions/activex/dlm-activex-2.2.4.2.cab, dont know how to install it though but it is a start.

better go with the direct download link ... Not sure where to install this cab. Pretty sure you need to extract it in the C:\Windows\Downloaded Program Files because i'm finding the same file in this folder on my side ...Maybe you can have a try ... I extract the .cab with winrar

Martin - Thanks for the post. However, it looks like the keys are only handed out if you d/l from the site. If we use the direct link how do we get valid keys? I read somewhere that these keys could only be used three times.Thanks for all you do.Dave

I have post the link ... scroll up a little bit ... you will se two link with "productkeys" in the URL ... just click there ... One for 32bits and the other for 64bits

Same problem.

It works for me always, on IE and Firefox. Please sign off from LiveID, delete cache and temporary files, and try again. It should help.

It seems to be switched off again. Simply wait as this will be normal again.

What edition are these keys for? Does it matter?

How do you know they have unlimited activation?The public betas of Windows Vista could only be activated a few times (if I recall correctly). I had to get two of the keys for the two boxes I was running it on.

I kept retrying and finally got the download link and serial number.Also, the serial number that I was issued from MS is on that list that MaximusExtreme posted, so they are indeed reusing the keys.Good luck!

The download/serial page was down 5 minutes ago, back up again... apparently a frequent problem. My serial is on the list MaximusExtreme posted (same as Kyle Kartan's), so yeah, I guess there is a small pool of serials being reused.It was a 64-bit version download, so the serials don't seem to discriminate between 32/64-bit - you can either wait 15 minutes for the download page to come back up, or use one of the direct links and a serial from Maximus' post. Afterclicking download many times, the download manager appears and says "connecting" then after 1 minute the status changes to "error". No matter how many times I click resume, it does the same thing. The direct download link doesn't work either.

Just worked for me after trying multiple times. It would be a good idea for MS to use torrent for this distribution. Yeah, I know, wishful thinking.

I tried it 4 times butmy downloaded file is only 327 MB instead2.43 GB. Of course, installation is not running :-(

I agree. Also, unfortunately the download manager has no way to add a url into it, so the install is less than useful.So far this morning, I've has speed from 300k to 1.5mb, and always the transfer stops 2-300 mb-Jim

No... they don't work. I can't get a key or the download started. Anytime I redirect from the email link I get a page error. I had thought I might try the image links above and worry about a key later but neither IE or Forefox only gets me about 300MB into the download. ANY ADVICE would be appreciated...

I would say make sure you have the download manager installed, and just keep hitting the link. It did not work for me for about an hour and then it just went through. Just keep trying.
