Suddenly unable to access the internet
Several days ago, I was upgrading my Windows One Care, as I have done for over a year, then suddenly, after my computer had been restarted, I received various messages from different browsers that my connection attempt had failed. Finally, Iget this pop-up message that I need to enable "family security," or I will not be able to access the internet. I have tried every solution possible to enable this, even attempting to access secpol.msc(whichI was unable to access because it's not included in the package ofWindows Vista that I have. Then, a couple of days ago, Ifind another "user" account on my desktop "ASP.NET," which had not been visible before, nor is such auser visible on any ofmy other computers on my network. Have I been hacked, or what else can I do to resolve the problem?I might also add that I've contacted my router manufacturer, my computer manufacturer, and Microsoft, all of whom have not been able to help. Now,I'm trying this approach. And trust me, if you can find the solution, I will be forever grateful...
