Sync pending forever after cache reset
At the directions of my manager I reset the offline cache on a users Win7 laptop using the registry change. It's something I have done on other Win7 machines with zero problems so I didn't think much of it!
However, since reboot it has yet to rebuild the cache. If I try manually doing it via Sync Center, Start Sync then it just sits there 'pending' and never gets any further. I can not see any errors popping up in the Event Viewer, nor are any errors
appearing in the SC as it's not even attempting the sync.
As I say, we have other Win7 laptops and desktops on the network, all with no problems. It's something that is well established on our network and working for other users. It's also worth noting that this laptop was also working perfectly before
the cache reset. I also noticed that there is nothing listed under Sync Partnerships and it says there is nothing available to create a new one.
Does anyone know how to fix this? Everything I've read so far appears to be people putting a new Win7 machine on their domain for the first time and it being a GPO problem or a permissions problem. As we already have working machines, including
this one. I'm going to continue digging but if anyone can light the way, that would be great!

Hi,
Firstly, I suggest you can perform a
system restore to check the result.
Meanwhile, you can try to test the issue in
Clean Boot mode.
In addition, here are some similar threads for your reference:
Offline files not synchronizing
Sync Center gets stuck saying "Sync Pending", never syncs offline files on shared folder
Folder Redirection and Offline Files always "Sync Pending"
If the issue persists, you try to re-initialize the offline files cache and database

How the synchronization in Windows 7 Offline Files works
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the response, I will give these a go. I have already re-initialized the cache, it was only after doing so that this problem started! I have tried again, just incase it didn't finish correctly or something but it hasn't helped.
I will try the suggested though and post back.
Apologies for the delayed response, it's been a busy old week!

Hi Vincent,
Sorry for such a long delay, I've had a few days off and a lots been going on!
I managed to fix this issue in the end by deleting the user profile. A clean boot made no difference, it still refused to start the sync. So in the end I figured it was something wrong with either the profile or possibly the sync partnership.
But of course I can't edit the partnership as it's the domain one.
Deleting and rebuilding the profile worked though and it's now syncing perfectly. While it was the last thing I wanted to try its the one that worked in this case!
Thanks again for your help!
