I just did I system restore and now some of my most used applications and some that came on the computer originally say "error' next to there name and will not open!

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and going to windows store to restore but nothing is working and I have no idea what to do but I NEED to FIX it ASAP!!!

Do those applications open if you undo System Restore ?

I was unaware you could undo a system restore... so I tried restoring to a earlier date...:( I don't know if I will work now) but the two main programs came on the computer, if I reset computer to brand new would that fix it?

Generally, it could. However, you would lost your personal file and some application you installed manually.

Thus I suggest you backup them before you reset the computer.

In addition, since you said this issue occurred after system restore. Why didn't you try undo it as S.Sengupta said?
