I only have one user on this laptop computer running XP Sp3 and that user is the administrator yet I keep getting blocked out of some activities telling me I don't have access and to contact the system administrator. It usually says "This operation has been cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator." I have put no restrictions on this computer that I know of. Help!!!1 person needs an answerI do too

XP Pro does have group policies that can handcuff even an administrator. Malware as well can sometimes impose restrictions to make it harder to get rid of it. Posting some specific actions that aren't working and the resulting error messages would help diagnose this further.HTH, JW
