Windows XP can't do a full system scan without computor (hp pavilion 563w) with yellow running light goes out and system will not restart (orange flashihg light still on). Must restart by unpluging computor several times. This happens on microsoft & nortons full system scans

Disable sleep mode and then run the scan, you may try the below steps:a. Click “Start" button in the left corner and open the Control Panel.b. Click "Performance and Maintenance" and then choose "Power Options."c. Choose "Never" in the drop-down boxes "System standby" and "System hibernates."
