System won't defragment because it doesn't have enough free space. I have done a disk clean up and can't dump the tons of recently deleted files.
Believe me I tried about 10 times to remove the preprinted text. Maybe because I was working from an IPad it would not let me. I knew it would annoy people, SORRY. I knew I was going to be loading a lot of info. onto an older computer that is running Window's XP w/ SP 3, so I started deleting old files and uninstalling old programs. I guess I deleted to much stuff and now I can't defragment my hard drive. There is plenty of memory but because I can't defragment all the things I deleted, I only have 6% of free space. I downloaded a defrag. program and that didn't really help. I have run a disk clean-up as well. I'm not getting error messages other than disk space is low. I need to know how to get all the deleted/uninstalled stuff off my hard drive so I can have more free space.
