TCP/IP V4 Expert Question, Very Chalenging, only for those who know XP and Microsoft Download like the back of your hand...
Here are the steps I "Want" to use to install TCP/IP V4 on my computer. Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > "Right Click - Local Area Connection" > Properties > Click the "Install" button > choose "Protocol" from the list > Click the "Add" button > Click "Have Disk" > the click the "Browse" button The issue I am having is I don't know where to direct windows to go so that I see TCP/IP V4 as an option. Where on the Microsoft install CD can I point to. I have a fairly old install CD for Windows XP Home Edition, with service pack 1 on it. Where is a Microsoft compressed file I can download containing all the necessary files, specifically, the inf file to make the above step work and install the protocol? I have seen similar questions but all of the links provided point to other forums, news groups, and blogs. None of the links point to a topic, blog, or newsgroup, containing a download location to a compressed file, or Microsoft EXE file. Can anyone help me? 1 person needs an answerI do too
