TOSHIBA SATELITE TOUCHPAD DOES NOT WORK
AFTER INSTALLING A MOUSE MY TOUCHPAD WILL NO LONGER WORK

First, check the touchpad settings in the touchpad software. Some offer an option to disable if a mouse is detected. Usually, in the lower right of the screen in the notification area there will be an icon for the touchpad. Usually, mouse software will not interfere with touchpads.
