TPM: Machine Authentication
Does Windows Vista support machine authentication using a TPM. The scenario I have in mind is the following:Generate a (non-exportable) private-key on the TPM and get a certificate for the corresponding public key. Then the key/cert. should be used (transparently) for authentication with 802.1X or for IPSec. Does Vista provide a CSP that supports this scenario (generation of private in TPM and usage for authentication) and is it even possible to enforce the use of such a CSP for key generation with an Enterprise CA on Server "Longhorn"? Or are there third-party solutions that support this scenario? Thanks in advance for any hints concerning the above questions.
