Task Manager doesn't run

C:\Users\JuanCamilo\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX\Group2\5 - Task Manager.Ink

This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Program control panel.

The error from before was "windows\system32\taskmgr.exe" cannot be found. I ran virus scans, with nothing being found. I don't remember the last time I ran task manager, so I don't know for how long there's been something wrong with it. I ran sfc scannow restarted my computer and now I get this message when trying to open task manager.

The results from the sfc scannow were Windows Resource Protection found corrupted files but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

I purchased my computer over a year maybe almost 2 ago. It ran Windows 8, now windows 8.1.

System type is 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor.

Please Help. I have reserved the upgrade for Windows 10 and I am hoping that the install will fix this issue, not carry over.

Thank you, it works now. Why did that prevent it from opening task manager?

That key I believe associates it with something else that probably wasn't installed on the machine anymore. Removing they key removes it and allows task manager to open correctly.
