Task Scheduler Does Not Display A Task Under Another User Account On The Desktop
Hi, I am using the Task Scheduler to display a few messages on the desktop and my computer has multiple user accounts for the rest of the family. I have succeeded in creating these tasks. I have created them to use a special user account I have created (Nicely enough) called MSTask and set them to run whether a user is logged on or not and the task has been configured for the Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2 level. Here is the problem I am having though, when I run the task the Task Scheduler says the task has run however I do not see a message displayed on my desktop. The messages are just reminders for routine things like backing up my files and run an AV scan. However they are not showing on the desktop. Any help is much appreciated.

Can you let us know the detail setttings about your task? Display a message task which will show a message box with a specified message and title. This action will only launch if the Run only if user is logged on security option is selected in the General tab of the Task Properties. Once we slect the option, the scheduled task will run in the selected User, however, it only allows us to choose one account in the general tab of the Task Properties, so, I think it is normal if the task doesn't run in other accounts. So if your want to display the message, you should check "Run only if user is logged on" option, but it only works in the slected user.I hope this can help you. John
