I have windows xp home editionI downloaded sp1a and copied it to cd on a friends computer . Then put the cd in my computer to update my xp to xp1a and it said the server name or address could not be resolved. My compter isnt online so I'm updating thru downloads on cd'sRemember .I'm wanting to use wireless adapter on my computer but it has to have sp3 on it .But I cant install sp3 without 1a and 2.
