Paul Have you tried right clicking the installation file and selecting the 'Run As Administrator' option? Hope this helps. If this post helps to resolve your issue, click the Mark as Answer button at the top of this message. Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience

In Windows 7, this is not an option with an MSI. Only an executable. I am having the same issue trying to install MS Publisher. NONE of the registry fixes have worked, nor have the permissions in the Administative area in Control Panel. I have Googled and Binged all over the place, yet none of the solutions I have tried work.It is a home computer and I have Administrative rights, needless to say. Maybe I should go back to Vista. Btw, I did try right-clicking and Properties/Compatibility with previous versions of Windows. Nada.Yeah, I know I should have waited for Windows 7.1.Dave
