Trust relationship between this workstation & primary domain failed
I have a problem... Windows Vista Laptop, cannot login to the domain, becuase of this error "Trust relationship between this workstation & primary domain failed". I have tried booting in safemode, and using domain\administrator, it just says "there are no logon servers available to respond to the request" Local Administrator account is disabled The other Administrator account created during Vista install, is no longer an Administrator account. Any help would be great, thanks

Hi, Mostly, the issue can be resolved by rejoining the computer to the domain. Log on locally as a local administrator. In the Network tool of Control Panel, select Change and enter a Workgroup name, leaving the domain. Restart the computer and log on locally as a local administrator. There are two methods to rejoin the domain: 1.You can join the domain from the client if at the same time you can provide an administrator username and password on the domain. 2.You can delete the existing computer account in Server Manager, recreate the computer account, synchronize the domain, and then on the client rejoin the domain. In your case, I suggest you try to start the computer in Safe Mode with Networking and try to test the issue. For more information about the issue, you can refer to the following link: Built-in Administrator Account Disabled http://blogs.msdn.com/windowsvistasecurity/archive/2006/08/27/windowsvistasecurity_.aspx Hope it helps.

We are unable to leave the Domain, becuase we cannot login as an Administrator. No Domain Administrator has logged onto the PC before, so we cannot login in safemode. Is the only method to fix this problem reinstalling Vista?
