Trying to login at Windows screen after reboot, but username/password not being accepted all of a sudden.
I just configured my home network with several computers, and access point, using the same names and passwords i had on the initial computer. When I shut down and rebooted, I was prompted with a different-looking message box asking for my username and password. I have tried every combination of names and numbers I have ever used throughout this life and the previous lives I've endured, all without success. I have tried rebooting using safe mode, manual boot with a disk, but that window keeps popping up.

Hi WENDL101,Which edition of Windows XP is installed on the machines?Do you have the machines connected to any domain or server?a) You may perform a manual system restore on one of the machines & check if you are able to boot to the desktop. How to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP from startingb) If you are able to boot to the desktop, you may try to change the computer name & password of the machine.c) If it’s working correctly, you may try to change the computer name & password for the other machines.Hope the information helps.
