Tweaking Windows 7 Beta Networks
First of all. Hats off to Microsoft for a solid start on delivering a worthly upgrade to XP. Now for the real reason for my post.I am currently doing so network testing betweenXP and Windows 7. Specifically with MMORPG's and VPN connectivity. What Ihave noticedis that latencyis usually 60% to 70% higher when running Windows 7. WhatI would like to know, is there some general guidelines/tweaks that can help lower latency or since it is beta just suck it up?Jim

Why do you need to adjust MTU for your VPN connection? If the VPN connection is available as another network interface, it should automatically adjust the MTU to provision for the VPN overhead, so no manual tweaks to the MTU should ever be needed.
