Two Factor Authentication using WBF (Biometrics) and Password. Dell Latitude E6250
Hi all I was wondering if you can assist me the best way possible. My company would like to have two factor authentication using Biometrics and Passwords. Basically the user will swipe their fingerprint and then type in their password. I see it can be done via GP on the domain however my boss would like for the authentication to be on the Local Machine (windows 7 64.) I have Biometrics configured (I can log in my machine using my fingerprint) through WBF but I do not have the option to remove the windows credential and configure the Biometrics to also ask for a password. I see in the Local Group Policy editor the is a policy folder for Biometrics (Computer Configuration>Windows Components>Biometrics.) Any ideas?

Hi, Based on my research, your purpose cannot be supported. Fingerprinter cannot be an extra autentication method for logon. Thanks.Juke Chou TechNet Community Support

Why this cannot be supported when there are articles on the web that states it can. Please elaborate on your answer.
