UAC, protected system 32 files, and autoscripts.
We have come across the fact that sometimes, when trying to make a change to files inside the system32 folder, there is an extra security feature imposed where you cannot change these files without taking ownership first, even when UAC is cranked all the way down. Some of these files are print drivers trying to be changed with a ScriptLogic process ran at logon. In this case, when the print drivers are trying to be copied, we get a yellow security screen asking to install print drivers, but the screen gets covered up by the "Desktop Authority" splash screen, and may be timing out. It seems that there is another level of security that is prompting for approval, instead of letting the print drivers be installed silent. I dont know, maybe the drivers arent signed... They are all Canon copier drivers, for iR class copiers (5050, 3250, ect...).
