My administrator user account has a corrupted user profile so I can only log into it in the safe mode. When I log into a standard user account I get UAC prompts for all tasks that require administrator privileges. I enter my ADM PW, it is accepted and the UAC pop-up prompt goes away, but nothing happens. I am still denied ADM Privileges to carry out to carry out any tasks I need to do like opening up another user account. I just keep getting UAC prompts and entering my PW and clicking Yes gives me the same response as clicking No.

If you can log into the machine in Safe Mode with admin rights, can you just create a new user with admin priviledges?
