bayan,hi, the same thing happened to me last Friday, 20th November. differences are:-1.I am using HP 7590 printer; and2. the usb device shows as "Unknown Device" and that no driver is loaded....Have you resolved the problem?thanks,ursulaJohnKelly46 had the answer - he said to unplug the power supply from the computer. He said that you must unplug it from the power board and wall socket. [ just turning off the computer is not sufficient]. Wait a few minutes. Then, connect the power supply back to the computer. After windows started, all of the hardware reinstalled one-by-one.... pls see John's detailed answer at thread "USB drive not accessible"

I am really grateful for your reply. That is indeed what happened. I had to unplug the computer and took it to a repair shop (a lot of hassle as you can imagine!). When he connected it all up it worked!!Looked like a fool then.!So that may well have been the answer to disconnect from the power supply completely then reconnect.Thank you so much again.Bayan

I have the same problem with SP3, but my printer is a Lexmark all in one P3120. I also tried all that you mentioned, including a chat with Lexmark support, who said that the drivers needed for SP3 are Vista drivers and the printer I have does not work with those drivers.Has anyone been able to solve this?
