Unable to add additional display language

Try to add an additional display language to my English installation of Windows 8 enterprise. Getting first the message "checking availability", then after 30 seconds "Connect to the Internet to check for language packs". Have a direct ADSL internet connection without any proxy.

Thank you in advance for any help

Hi,

If the display language is available, it will let you download and install. Please check this article.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2607607

Meanwhile, please help me collect the screenshot of your display language.
1. Open Language Settings, click option for the language you want to download.
2. Press PrtScn key, open Paint and paste the picture.
3. Save the picture on your desktop and upload to thread.

Hi

2607607 doesn't help. There are no download links to additional language packs.

The printscreen below shows that I am connected to the internet.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Maybe you are using WSUS Server and Windows 8 Updates (Language Packs) are not checked for download?

Try to open Windows Update and click Check Windows Update Website (not sure about exact name).

Thank you! Have manually deleted the WSUS Server registry keys (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708449(v=ws.10).aspx). After restarting the Windows Update service, I was able to download and install the language pack.

Sorry, I am having the same problem and i can not solve it. It does not change from checking availability, even if I wait more than an hour. If you know what can I do it wiill be very helpful, I have tried to do what you said in the other comments but I dont really understand verry well.

I have also tried with other languages and it still happens the same!

Thanks in advance for any advice you have.

Hello

I had this problem when my display Language was set to a Language that was not installed. When I looket at the display Language override settings it listen English (USA) (missing), and I cloud not download the English (USA) Language pack. I always got the error "Connect to the internet to look for Language packs". When I set the display Language back to "use the Language list" I could successfully download the Language pack.

I have the same problem as you, but I am not sure how you solved it? Set the "display language" "Use the language list"? Could you help me?

Thanks

1) Remove the language you want to install (through region and language settings);

2) Go back to the 'Language' window;

3) Add your preferred language again.

4) Now, it should work.

I hope this helps.
