Hello All, I have looked for days on this topic and nothing has helped, about to give up :( I am writing this signed in to Ubuntu account, my Vista account can ping via Host name and IP address but can't browse via Firefox or IE. No updates can be made on any type of Internet accessible program. How is it possible that my connection is working on this OS and not the other? Even safe mode does not allow to browse in Vista, reset Winsock, all settings are correct, no firewall or AV is on/present. Spent countless hours with Time Warner tech just to say its my computer. I used System Recovery to 6 months prior as well, using direct modem connection to PC. Best Regards, Haastyle
