Unable to connect to 2000 Terminal Server from Vista Beta 2
I'm having a problem connecting to a Terminal Server running onServer 2000 from Vista Beta 2 (Build 5600). There is a firewall protecting the Terminal Server and only allowing traffic on port 3389. When Vista starts the connection, the Terminal Services Manager on the 2000 Server starts a listener (one of the Idle connections changes to an inactive session, a computer icon) but the connection is not made. It appears that it times out. If theVista computer is connected to the same subnet as the server, the connection succeeds. The Vista computer is not on the same domain as the server. For Terminal Services to work, should the firewall permit more than just port 3389 to the server?
