Unable to connect to internet in bridge mode in Windows 7
Hi, I use a broadband connection and have a Dlink GLB 502 T ADSL router. I have configured the router in bridge mode. I successfully connect to the internet via this settings in my Windows XP operated desktop. But when I try connect to the internet with my Windows 7 laptop, it gives error 629. It has definitely got to do something with the Windows 7 configuration. Please advice what settings or changes I need to make in my laptop so that I can connect to the internet.

Hi, error code 629: The port was disconnected by the remote machine. This error generally pops up when the computer user is trying to connect to the Internet while using an incorrect username and/or password. Windows error 629 can also be attributed also to line noise or to modem problems. There are some methods you can try: 1 Install Blue Frog connection software again 2 Try to enter an alternate Access Number 3 Try to install your modem drivers again. Dear Blumac error code 629: The Routing and Remote Access Service has not been configured to receive calls as a RAS server. To enable your Routing and Remote Access server to receive RAS calls follow these steps: From the Control Panel, double-click Network. Click Services, click Routing and Remote Access, and click Properties. Click the port or ports that you want to enable to receive calls, click Configure, and select Receive calls as a RAS server.
