Unable to contact DHCP server
I just had this issue but resolved it a few days ago: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpnetwork/thread/d16f8409-119e-495a-8afa-dffbd310502c Now today again I can't connect to the internet. The same solution that worked in the link above does not work now. After going through basically the same troubleshooting technicques I realize that when I run the ipconfig /renew command I get "An error ocurred while renewing interface Local Area Connection : unable to contact your DHCP server. Request has timed out."I'm lost on where to go on this now...1 person needs an answerI do too

The last time we had a machine that refused to get an address from DHCP we ended up just flattening the machine and reinstalling the operating system. -B- http://www.officeforlawyers.com | http://www.onenote-tips.com Author: The Lawyer's Guide to Microsoft Outlook

I was thinking of upgrading to Windows 7 anyway. Do you think that would work?
