Unable to delete Registry Key in Windows 7 Starter
Hi All, I am not able to delete some registry key in my HP netbook which has Windows 7 starter. When i tried to delete this specific key , I am gettting error like " Cannot delete keyame. Error while deleting key" I checked the permissions as well. It is showing system has rights. not administrator/me. How to change the permission? I tried changing permission through Advanced->Owner change. But that time it threw "Unable to save permission" Error.

Hi there, Can you please log on the Windows 7 with Administator account and then have a trial? ScorprioTechNet Software Assurance Managed Newsgroup MCTS: Windows Vista | Exchange Server 2007 MCITP: Enterprise Support Technician | Server & Enterprise Admin | System Architect

Hi, I suggest booting in Safe Mode with Administrator account to take the ownership of the registry key. Right click the registry, click permission and add your account to the list. Give full permission to your account and click Advance button, check two options below. I suspect the virus changed the incorrect permission.
