Unable to install IPv6 in Windows XP
Split from: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/xpnetwork/thread/d7188b0a-2562-4700-950f-0410bbfe5985I get the same error noted earlier in this thread. I've check the REGISTRY key and found the following:%SystemRoot%\inf;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Audio;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Audio2\WIN2K_XP;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Camera;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Chipset;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Lime;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Modem;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Monitor;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Network;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Stick;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\USB;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Video;%SystemDrive%\Windows\Drivers\Video2Clearly, the key starts with the %SystemRoot%\inf, but it references many, many more items. Is there something else that I'm missing? Thanks!Hampton

Setting up a local mixed environment for testing of IPv6 operation. One of the machines I'm working on has XP Pro SP3 installed and would be "challenged" to have Vista or 7 installed (due to memory and disk constraints). Trying to work within the confines of the currently available systems. For the record, I can see "Microsoft TCP/IP version 6" under the list of protocols available to install, but the driver is not digitally signed and the system does not allow me to complete the install. I get the error message "The parameter is incorrect."If it matters the physical Ethernet hardware is a Netgear FA310TX card.Regards,Hampton
