Unable to place and receive calls/presentations/video calls outside domain

Hello,

I have a client that is unable to place and receive calls/presentations/video calls outside of her domain.

They are using Open Federations and her colleagues aren't affected by this issue.

I've did a bit of research and I've found - https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/office/en-US/71fca51a-64ed-41c3-8079-0f290588a716/lync-2013-an-error-occured-during-the-screen-presentation?forum=lyncconferencing but unfortunately it's not a solution as they are using VDI's.

The last error message she gave it was : 'network issues are keeping you from sharing notes and presenting whiteboards, polls and uploaded powerpoint'

Thanks in advance,

Robert

Check the user's assigned conferencing policy to ensure they're the same as another working user's policy.  If they have different policies, try to assign the working policy to the user with the issue.

Also, have that user log into a known working users machine on a known working subnet to see if the issue goes away.  If policies aren't an issue, this will let you know if it's account related, or if it's related to her machine or networking.

Typically these are related to blocked traffic.  Sometimes all the ports aren't open to and from the A/V edge role, but that should affect everyone, or traffic isn't allowed from the client's workstation to the internal edge interface on TCP/443 and UDP/3478.  Occasionally, it's endpoint protection, antivirus, or personal firewall software inspecting or delaying packets.

Hello Anthony

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately I can't test your solution as I rebuild her profile and fixed her issue.

Thanks anyway.

Have a great week ahead of you.
